Pairing Wine With My Life's Adventure

REINVENTION: Quit my job in IT, sold my house and moved from Cal to NYC for sommelier classes. GETTING MY HANDS DIRTY: Moved to Napa and worked in a vineyard making wine. TRAVEL: Through France and Italy on a wine scavenger hunt. Sto cambiando la mia vita e desidero imparare circa vino. Je change ma vie et je veux me renseigner sur le vin. TRY TO GET SERIOUS: Living in New York for 4 years and working as a Sommelier. NEW GOALS: Do my own thing, find love, speak Spanish, live wine.

I took the BQE to get to the LIE to go to IKEA

I'm listening to one of my new pub radio stations, wfuv.org, Cityfolk show and the band The Be Good Tanyas. It was Hawkes Bay anniversary this month, so I suggest some Craggy Range NZ, but I'm not sure what the anniversary is for... ? So happy to be able to have coffee in my bed and surf the internet on my own connection. My area of Brooklyn is nice but it takes so long to get home at night after work. Ran into both Hideki Matsui and Derek Jeter, as they live near my work. Had a Cali friend in town, even if it was for just one evening, it was fun. Nothing beats driving into the city, on the Manhattan Bridge, with the Stones blaring... and back out on the Williamsburg b/c I got lost. I drive in maybe once a week which is enough. I had lunch with rock star sommelier Larry Stone! I met an artist in the subway, way late at night, and I think I discovered the next Basquiat. We were both going mad at 2am. NY Times had an article featuring a recipe for eggs poached in red wine, wow. Have not been to the spotted pig yet. Sorry to be late, but Happy Sake Day, October 1 was Nihonshu-no-hi, http://www.sake-world.com/html/sw-2004_9.html. Bruni, from NY Times, is to restaurants here what Robert Parker is to wine. I'm looking into taking mariachi singing lessons. A few weeks back we were so busy we ran out of rice. Some drunken guys yelled 'Osama' at my cab driver. What does a tire company know about food? What do all the stars mean? http://michelinguide.com/ratings.html
